The attorneys at Stettner & Morris are Board-certified
family law specialists (certified by the State Bar of
California) who proudly represent men and women in
military divorces and other family law issues.

Mr. Morris proudly served in the United States Air Force from
1976 to 1986. His clients include service men and women as
well as the spouses of those serving in the armed forces,
including all military branches (Army, Air Force, Marines, and Navy), as well as the National
Guard and Reserves With more than 25 years of experience practicing family law, he has
represented numerous clients -- husbands and wives, and mothers and fathers -- in military
divorce proceedings.

Aside from the typical family law issues, including child support (including support
modification issues), child custody and visitation (including relocation issues) and property
division, there are three important reasons to seek out the services of a lawyer who
understands the nuances of a military divorce:

  • Familiarity with the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act
  • Military Pensions- Theses are treated differently from other pension and retirement plans
  • Support payments and enforcement of support orders (for child support or alimony) are
handled in a different manner if your ex-spouse is in the military.

In addition, we also handle prenuptial and postnuptial agreements for military personnel and
their spouses.
